Our Work Scope
Shop Drawings, Inc. can provide a
full range of services for the purchase or fabrication and installation
of duct, piping and plumbing systems. Drawings generally are divided
into eight categories:
Shop Drawings (or fabrication drawings) The duct and/or pipe
is drawn to coordinate with the structure, ceiling, lights and other
architectural systems. Consideration is given to other trades, but generally,
the other trades agree to coordinate with our drawing. This drawing
is usually considered the leading drawing.
Coordination Drawings-Same as above but includes overlay and
coordination of other trades by us.
Sleeve Drawings- (Experienced in Duct, HVAC and Plumbing Pipe.
) Sleeve drawings can also include wall and roof opening sizes and locations.
Housekeeping Pad Layouts- for equipment. (usually included or
can be awarded independently).
Reflected Ceiling Shop Drawings- the re-drafting of architectural
reflected ceiling plans with added "start" dimensions in each room.
Roof Plans- Detailed drawings for roofing contractors.
Systems Operation and Maintenance Manuals- Our added knowledge
of graphics arts can allow you to give your client a top quality good
looking professional manual cover for your "end of contract" requirement.
This is usually the last impression you can make to your customer.
Other Services:
Signs, Banners, etc. Large document photo printing.

Our
Work Scope
All duct and piping drawings include:
Architectural partitions, ceilings, lights, and diffuser
locations per the Architectural Drawings. (Outlet size and quantities
are per mechanical drawings.)
Structural Steel overlays, including bottom of beam elevations
are available as an unedited overlay if you prefer, no additional charge.
Ductwork drawings include full identification of every
and all pieces of ductwork and include top and bottom elevations and
dimensions to the nearest wall or column coordinate. All RGD's are dimensioned
for size, cfm and location.
Piping drawings show dimensions and elevations to centerline
of pipe. Plumbing drawings usually indicate invert elevations.
Sleeve drawings are dimensioned and show actual pipe
or duct size, sleeve size and indicate which ducts have a fire damper
in slab or wall.
All mechanical equipment is drawn in per the manufacturer's
approved submittal. Access and coil pull shown as dotted lines.
At this point the scope varies and is custom to our customer's
